Youth Innovation Challenge
Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies University of Peshawar in collaboration with UNDP inniated Virtual Platform for Peace and Development for mapping the Conflict and development indicators for D. I. Khan District under Youth Cohesion Program. Peace and Conflict Studies also arranged and conducted a series of Six Course Certificate titled, Conflict Resolution, Mediation and Peace Building under strengthening rule of law program funded by European Union.
The Youth Innovation challenge is aninitiative taken by Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS) University of Peshawar in collaboration with UNDP. It aims to promote youth engagement and ownership in ensuring peace and promoting social cohesion among different stakeholders on campus.
Youth groups with the most relevant and innovative plans are important to grasp the potential future leaders for the political economy, peace and stability of Pakistan.The lead project will be given a monetary award from Rs. 50000 to 80,000 depending on the type and scope of innovation (innovative Idea) in addition to the training on project, planning, management and monitoring skills.
Who can apply?
University students from all disciplines and programs can apply for youth innovation challenge by submitting a proposal.This is a team effort; therefore each youth group must be of minimum 03 students.
Priority for Proposal
Female students are encouraged to apply for the youth Innovation challenge. The proposal should include activities that can promote peace in the area i.e. cultural events, sports and recreational activities and localized skills training etc.
Submit the following documents to become the property of IPCS within the given timeframe as below:
Ø Orientation on Project writing and presentations: 15.11.2017
Ø Last date for Proposal Submission: 22.11.2017
Ø Presentationsbefore Jury: 23.11.2017
Ø Project Cycle Completion on or before: 12.12.2017
Documents needed:
· Copy of CNIC, student card and qualification certificates.
· Project/Proposal write up to be submitted in soft copy at ipcs@uop.edu.pk and hard copy too at M. Asfandyar Marwat. Lecturer, IPCS University of Peshawar.
· Language could be URDU or English.
· Submitting Plagiarized or copied material is a criminal offense.
· Forward your covering letter from your current academic institution.
